I’m not aware of any thorough investigations of the metacrisis / polycrisis which come from the perspective of trying to work out how our interventions to solve the metacrisis / polycrisis might need to differ from our approach to individual existential risks.
I think this kind of investigation could be valuable. I expect that same existential risks are more likely to set off a cascade of existential risks than others, which would have important implications for how we allocate resources for x-risk prevention.
