WHEN: 14 February 2016 02:00:00PM (+1100)

WHERE: 421 Smith St, Fitzroy, Melbourne, Level 1

Come by at 2pm to meet others, and participate in a “giving game” themed around animal charities. Each person attending will be able to decide where to donate $10 of sponsor money.

Then at 3pm Jacy Reese will be skyping in from California to talk about why he prioritises animal advocacy, followed by a Q&A/discussion. Jacy is currently a research associate at Animal Charity Evaluators (ACE) and is involved in researching and compiling their top charity recommendations—http://bit.ly/1FLTPDv. He has also written numerous articles for the Huffington Post and Vox Media on topics such as Mark Zuckerberg’s recent pledge of 99% of his income (http://huff.to/1O5pOk2), and wild animal suffering (http://bit.ly/1P2Zwlw).

So if you have any burning questions about animal advocacy as a cause area, ACE’s research methodology, or related topics, please come along and ask them! Or just sit and listen—either is fine :). The venue is disability accessible. As always, newcomers are welcome and you can turn up late.
