Recent work (< ~1 year):
Currently working on the second edition of CEA’s Career Planning Program (CPP).
Recently organised CEA’s University Groups Organizer Retreat ’24 in Oxford, UK.
Recently led the first AIS hackathon in South America with over 40 attendees from diverse backgrounds.
Previous work:
I co-founded, seeded and led multiple EA-related groups in Chile, including the first AI Safety initiative in South America (AISI Chile), the local EA Chile group, the EA UC Chile group, and most recently, the Alternative Protein Initiative @ UC Chile.
Background:
Studying for my Master’s in Economics at UC Chile.
I also work in the private sector and am considering whether pursuing earning to give is a sensible option. I’m interested in comparing it to direct work (primarily if you work[ed] in finance, consulting, banking, etc.)
Thinking about how someone with my kind of background could work on AIS Policy
Just saw this! For anyone considering on going to the retreat: I went last January, had a blast and got to meet a ton of CB’s from around the world :)
The opportunity is especially awesome if your local/regional community isn’t very big (like my case) because you’ll get to meet many new EA friends and professionals!
