  At the same time, effective altruism is still in a very nascent phase, there are several messages associated with it that we’re not comfortable with, and amplification of problematic messages at this stage could affect general perceptions around the label, which could be a problem for both effective altruism and us.

  I admit it took me a second to understand what you mean by irrevocable risks (it’s more the consequences of failure that are irrevocable).
