Come join us to watch “Earthling” a documentary about animal suffering with regards to animal consumption, followed by a brief video called “Farm to Fridge”.
After that we will head out for vegetarian food.
In some of our past events, we discussed the issue of animal suffering as a cause for EA, including some kind of conversion rate from animal pain to human pain. This will be a chance to learn more about what animals go through in order for us to eat them.
Additionally, it has been suggested that it is easier to make people care about animal suffering than human suffering, so animal rights causes can be seen as a gateway drug for human rights causes.
Finally, since we’re all going to be vegan in the future, we might as well start learning about it now :)
Note on venue: there are two cats in residence, and good luck to you on parking.
