Towards an alternative to the COPs
Dear people,
COP30 on climate change is under way. Even when it will do better than previous Conferences of the Parties (COPs), there remains the need for a better procedure to decide on a coordinated, integrated approach to the polycrisis. We propose that such a decision-making procedure be designed, a design process which we call decision change.
We invite you to watch this five-minute video [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4eVmEKOS3XI] that explains decision change more vividly than our peer-reviewed paper [https://doi.org/10.3390/su16062372]. After watching, you can contribute in several ways:
- promote the video (‘like’ it, comment on it, or forward this e-mail to others),
- endorse [https://www.decisionchange.net/endorsements] decision change to show your support (without any ommitments),
- publish about decision change, and, most importantly,
- let your organization back decision change or find an organization that could do so.
The organization need not have all the resources but it would create the momentum for decision change – the first step to system change.
Thank you.
