We’re excited to introduce Effective Altruism Egypt,

What we’re building

We’re just getting started, but here’s what we’re planning:

Introductory events and fellowships for students and professionals in Cairo
1:1 conversations to help people explore high-impact careers
Connections with EA groups across the MENA region and globally

Where we are right now

We’ve set up our social media presence and are currently going through the process of becoming an official EA group. We’re early-stage and learning as we go, and that’s exactly why we’re reaching out to this community.

How you can help us

We’d love support from anyone who:

Has experience running an EA city or national group and is open to sharing advice
Is willing to be a mentor or offer occasional guidance
Wants to explore a partnership, whether you’re an organization, researcher, or individual working on EA-aligned projects
Has resources, templates, or lessons learned from starting a new group in an underrepresented region
