It’s visible but well off the front page without scrolling or pressing “more posts”.
Basically, there’s limited space and posts with low interest or “low quality” will fall off (I haven’t read your post, this isn’t judgement).
Even without positive votes, your post would have been visible for a few hours to a day. Usually, forum members will upvote posts they think deserve to be on the front page. You might not have gotten any votes.
I guess this is unfair or path dependent but basically there’s limited space and no better scheme has been clearly proposed (keeping new posts higher comes at the expense of older highly voted posts for example).
