Everything has its very early start. As I write elsewhere, we hope to be a vibrant member of the AI Safety Ecosystem booting up all over the world as we speak. We just come at it from a very very different perspective than most tech org’s...we are non-tech, we are common people focused and that means we need plenty of tech people to assist. Of course many people will be at varying levels of tech backgrounds, but if you’re highly capable there are other AI Safety org’s that would fit you. One of the problems that you may not perceive as a STEM EA person is that common people feel very excluded from tech development, and as long as that just provided them cooler new stuff that’s fine, but now that this new tech might rise up and kill us all, suddenly people want to be involved. We look forward to your advice and support.
