About be/impact

Our vision is to bridge the gap between corporates and changemakers (charities and impact-first enterprises) through the exchange of skills and knowledge.

To begin with, we are turning corporate employees into teachers and mentors for the non-profit sector. Through our platform, employees deliver the professional training that they receive, allowing them to revise it, anchor their knowledge and develop their soft skills.

Most importantly, they make a long-term difference by upskilling charity employees and volunteers, allowing them to have a bigger impact on people’s lives and the planet.

Role Overview

We just secured our first funding round of £255k. Now we are looking for someone to support the founders’ team in building the company during this exciting time by driving business development, supporting operations, and actively contributing to strategic projects that define be/impact’s trajectory.

This role is for an ambitious, self-driven doer, who turns ideas into actions and who is passionate about making a tangible difference through education and social innovation. We’re looking for someone who gets things done, fast.

As always for these positions, the role will evolve as the company grows: you won’t be doing the same thing in a year from now. There is a lot of room for you to bring your ideas and topics to the table.

This is your chance to be a part of a growing mission-driven start-up focused on impact and learning while contributing directly to our growth and success. Being our first employee means you will have a privileged position in the leadership of the company as we grow, equity, and a rare opportunity to shape the company culture and processes in the way you find most effective and aligned with your values.

Key Responsibilities

In the first months, there will be a bigger focus on business development. Then, the role will evolve towards operations as we close more clients. Every week will be different, and you won’t be doing the same thing in a year. There is a lot of room for you to bring your ideas and topics to the table.

  • Client acquisition & support: Prepare, (conduct), and follow up on business development calls, creating bespoke materials as needed.

  • Recruitment: helping define the teams’ needs, screening candidates, and onboarding new team members.
