Wonderful post Kuhan! I’ve been thrilled with what you & everyone at Stanford EA have been able to do over the past 2 years, and all the hard work I know you’ve put into that
And while I’m glad I finally started taking the group seriously in 2019 - and spending a substantial amount of time, as you mention, with people in the group—what you’ve accomplished makes it really clear that I might have done so much more had I prioritized the group earlier
My single biggest college regret is waiting until I was <1 year from graduation to invest more time into the group & really talking through EA ideas with unfamiliar, newbie EA people like 2018 Kuhan (over dinners, multiple times a week). To whatever extent regret-minimization is a good framework, seems worth noting for the sake of current university group organizers :)
Thanks Jake! Stanford EA and I would definitely not be where we are now without your initial mentorship/ motivation, and ongoing guidance and support! I can’t thank you enough. :)
