What are some effective agencies that are helping the starving and those who can’t get the medical treatments they need in Afghanistan?

Is there any reason you want to focus on Afghanistan in particular?
As part of a discussion yesterday, I have some coworkers who are interested in donating to some effective causes and were curious to know if there were any places that were doing work specifically in Afghanistan. I couldn’t think of any quickly so I figured I’d toss it out on the forum.
I can’t say how effective they are in this space, but UNHCR is active and reputable.
Terrible situation.
