South Bay EA: Navigating the Intersection of Values and Impact

Join us for an evening of guided discussion. Together, in small groups of 4-6, we will discuss different aspects of values, potentially including:

  • Our own intrinsic and instrumental values

  • Health (QALY/DALY) vs subjective wellbeing (WELLBY) as a way to measure value captured – what they are missing and how they could be improved

  • How we succeed (or fail) at representing differing values within effective interventions

  • Value drift, or the change in the values held by an individual or community

No background knowledge is needed, just an interest in these topics. We’ll provide relevant context and suggested discussion questions.

If you’re interested in joining, please RSVP so I can plan for enough drinks & snacks.
