For many people interested in but not yet fully committed to biosecurity, it may make more sense to choose a more general master’s program in international affairs/security and then concentrate on biosecurity/biodefense to the extent possible within their program.

It’s surprisingly difficult for me to tell if the GMU Biodefense Master’s is meant to be finished in one year― it’s 36 credits, which is equivalent to 3 semesters of full-time undergraduate courseload at GMU, but I don’t know if Master’s students typically take a lighter courseload.

Sciences Po: Master in International Security (Paris; 2 years; can be combined with the KCL degree as a dual degree)
