I think Socialism is too vague, or any -ism for that matter. I prefer thinking in terms of policies.
Universal health care, universal basic education, universal basic income. Those three buckets are big enough to think about. Asking policy questions avoids the problems of asking is health care socialism (if it is then is UK socialist?) -ism questions I have not found to be productive.
