There are dozens or hundreds of online courses these days (esp on general subjects like data analysis), so the challenge for pursuing them is often a matter of filtering convincingly.

Soliciting recommendations from domain experts, mainly when asking for resource recommendations during research for other articles (like our career profiles).
Doing our own research to find courses that seemed to be particularly high-quality, reputable, coming from orgs that we think are likely to provide strong overviews, and/or especially relevant to impact-focused careers.
That said, we want to emphasize that these are the best courses we know of; we’re certain there are many great courses we don’t know about that should also be included on this list (please let us know if you know of any that you think could be relevant).
