Totally agree with you on your last point. When it comes to spreading the ideas of EA to the public, they can get stuck on the movement’s vibe instead of embracing the ideas behind it.

I would like to clarify that I do think that in some cases there is a big value in the “follow-up” opportunity (for instance- when I connect to EA events or projects in the local community). However, in other conversations or situations it doesn’t seem like the value outweighs the confusion/complication/vibe it brings
