A big takeaway for me is “my priors about sleep scientists being right are pretty bad priors” and this leads me naturally to “ok, so what should my priors be?”, and specifically, next time I think I should sleep a lot, I am going to ask myself “ok, why do I believe that?”.
This goes a long way in changing my mind about something that I did not expect to change my mind about (I’m a person with an Oura Ring, who regularly experiments with the most expensive eye masks I can find on Amazon. I hope this gives a picture of my current opinions).
