Wild Animal Welfare discussion

Wild animal welfare is an emerging topic in effective altruist communities, with many starting to consider wild animal interests as a natural extension of radical empathy.

99.99% of total animals alive on this planet are wild – yet there’s significant uncertainty about whether they live happy lives and what humans can do to help. When you consider the ecological, environmental, and trophic (chain reaction) implications, it reveals inherent complexity in wild animal interventions.

Join us as we learn more about open questions and ethical consideration in wild animal welfare, as well as the welfare biology research field. Anyone is welcome to participate.

If you’re interested in joining, please RSVP so I can plan for enough drinks & snacks.
