I think this post, and discussions like these in general, would benefit from better context about the overall empirical relationship between religiosity and morality. I attempted this in a Quora answer in the past, where I noted that theoretical considerations notwithstanding, religious people are overall more moral than irreligious people on most dimensions that have been carefully measured.
