I struggle to understand how consumeristic individuals are less fulfilled, are they not consuming what fulfills and makes them more happy? , and I do understand how how from an ethical perspective altruists can be assumed to be more fulfilled in life—satisfied by their ethical lives but an individual who leads unethical life could not be bothered to measure their satisfaction according to what is ethical or not.
