Seeking advice for a Vancouver EA newbie

Hi people. My name is Daniel and I am an undergraduate student studying at UBC in Vancouver. I am planning a food pop up next month where I intend to donate half of the profits to a charitable organization that will use this money effectively and to good use. I foresee that this donation could be anywhere from $500-$1000, a significant amount by my standards. My current issue is finding and deciding on which organization to donate to. I think for this project it would be best to donate to a local (Vancouver) organization—one that everyone can get behind and feel inspired by. So far, my research has yielded no insight into which local organizations make the most of their money. My question here, then, asks if anybody on this platform knows about the Vancouver charitable organization scene and could people reading this provide some insight into how to gauge the efficacy and worthiness of local organizations.

Thank you to all that respond.

Sincerely,

Daniel
