The response from the CEA leadership / individual co-workers involved was nowhere near appropriate here and you are absolutely right to call it out. It sounds like at least some people have shown some level of contrition after the facts which makes me hope that some lessons have been learned and internalised at a level that goes deeper than just making light amendments to the sexual harassment policy.
