Announcing The Cambridge Pandemic Prevention Symposium: Registration and Abstract Submissions are Open

The Cambridge Pandemic Prevention Symposium is taking place at Jesus College Cambridge, on 7 October 2024.

We, The Cambridge Biosecurity Hub (CBH), are excited to announce that we are running a single-day symposium in collaboration with Cambridge Infectious Diseases (CID). The day will have talks from junior and senior researchers as well as flash talks and poster presentations from postdocs, PhDs and master students. These talks will fall into three session themes:

  1. Technical interventions for avoiding future pandemics

  2. The risk posed by enhanced pathogens

  3. Policy interventions for effective pandemic prevention

We’d love to have you come along! If you would like to give a short 10-15 minute talk or a poster presentation on a topic within one of these themes, please submit an abstract here, or If you would just like to attend please register to attend here (it’s free!).

Deadlines

Abstract submission deadline: 23rd September, 2024

Registration deadline: 25th September, 2024. (However, places are quite limited, so please do register now)

Schedule

The symposium will run over a single day (7th October) starting at 9:00 am with a coffee reception and finishing at 5:00 pm with a closing talk and refreshments. A more detailed schedule with our start-studded speaker lineup and talk times will be released on the conference website soon.
