What does PI mean below? Ah, I have now checked it means principal investigator (and that this was answered in another comment).
Then I switched to a lab that wasnāt working on solar cells at all, but I liked the PI.
Principal Investigator, i.e. a professor in charge of a group of grad students and/āor other underlings.
I just changed the wording to āprofessorā or āadvisorā instead of āPIā.
