New to the forum and currently working as a HS Math Teacher. Really interested in the movement building side of things and through that lens have started volunteering with Giving What We Can on their Charity Election initiative.
In short, Giving What We Can wants to offer any school full sponsorship to host a charity election, a school-wide election among three charities. Through the election, students vote to direct up to $2,000 in fully sponsored funds to their choice of three highly impactful charities.
If you know of any schools, educators, or students who might like to run a charity election, you can direct them to apply for the grant here or alternatively put them in touch with me at dan.roeder@givingwhatwecan.org
Yesterday I hold my first Giving Game for the local EA group and some students and I was thinking about going into the schools with such an intervention.
I will write you a PN regarding this.
Have a nice day and hope to see you in the comments on some other posts here too. ;)
