Thanks very for this update, Ben. The “EA has loads of money” meme has unfortunately led people to (incorrectly) assume that everything ‘within EA’ was fully funded. This made it harder to fundraise, particularly for small orgs, like mine, who do need new donors, because prospective donors assumed they weren’t necessary.
Of course, the meme had no impact on organisations that are already fully-funded—which is more or less only those orgs being funded by Open Philanthropy.
