I really enjoyed this post! In general, I am a big fan of efforts to improve our collective decision making in a way that builds off of existing democracy/voting schemes. I’m a big fan of approval voting for example.
This was the first I’ve heard of election by jury. I checked out your website a bit too. Cool stuff, I really like the idea of using sampling to help mitigate other issues including the overhead costs of having a well informed citizenry on every issue.
