This is awesome! It’s great to see the grantmaking ecosystem for AI safety start to scale
What’s scarce is organizations. Money gets absorbed by orgs that can hire people and run projects, and the field doesn’t have enough of them. There’s a lot of machinery for finding and developing people (fellowships, courses, research programs, upskilling grants) and much less for getting new organizations started.
I agree this will be the ecosystem bottleneck in the short term as funding ramps up.
We’ve launched https://app.grantmaking.ai recently to try to serve similar needs, so I’m sure there are ways we can collab / provide value to each other
