I don’t remember if I’ve talked to Tom about this yet, but one project I was thinking could be valuable is one to help set up non-profit foundations in various countries with sufficient EA donor bases, such that they can get tax-deductible donations. It’s worked in Switzerland (EAF/SEA), the UK (GWWC), and now Australia, and I was talking to Florent Berthet, who is in the process of setting up an Effective Altruism France foundation. I don’t know if there are many countries left with enough donors to justify the effort, or if such work across countries would be similar enough to justify having a team streamline the process. Just a thought I had.

This is in fact already one of our focus projects! The list is at https://impact.hackpad.com/Projects-aRiPtncmuKS
I’d be interested, then, in taking this up as part of my volunteering. I’ll just talk to you about that next time I’m in the office.
I’m looking into this on behalf of CEA/GWWC. Anyone else working on something similar should definitely message me (michael.page@centreforeffectivealtruism.org).
.impact is already looking into this. Tom Ash and I will talk about it later this week. I’ll fill you in on developments going forward.
