For seasoned professionals who have had a career, this simply seems insane. Writing publicly shows you have the time and skill to write publicly. It has very little correlation with job success if the main job isn’t about writing. To me the existence of these insane expectations simply shows the fact that there are too much supply and not enough money and demand. I don’t know why everyone is dancing around this fact
