Thank you for sharing this, and the linked LW article as well. It’s really helpful to have a guide like this and even better that it is supported by evidence. Normalcy bias would have ordinarily prevented me from doing things like this, but if there’s one thing joining / engaging with Effective Altruism* has done is slowly break down my normalcy bias.
