Empower students at your university to make their theses matter.
At Effective Thesis, our mission is to help students use their thesis and academic journey as a pathway to impact.
We are currently open for applications for exceptional students to join the Effective Thesis team as Campus Directors (volunteer role).
As a Campus Director, you’ll act as the main representative for Effective Thesis at your institution, helping ambitious students connect their academic work with pressing global challenges. This is a flexible, part-time leadership opportunity to support students in pursuing meaningful high-impact work. Previous students involved with ET have gone on to work at leading institutions such as MIT, Institute for Progress, Tony Blair Institute for Change, and Antrophic.
Key responsibilities
Facilitate the Effective Thesis Accelerator Program (8-weeks): Lead a student-led version of our Accelerator. With facilitator training, resources, and ongoing support, you’ll guide a group of students through tools like the ITN framework and Theory of Change to design their own high-impact thesis.
Coordinate and collaborate with faculty and societies: Collaborate with university departments and student groups to spread awareness of impactful work.
Host a high-impact thesis workshop at your university to help students design high-impact theses
Join a global community: Take part in bi-monthly calls with other Campus Directors and the ET team, gaining mentorship, resources, and peer support along the way.
If you’re excited about empowering students and want to grow as a leader while making a positive impact, we’d love to hear from you!
