I think this is a cool idea. Owen and others pointed out that this is overly simplistic, but I think it can serve as a useful prod.
One thing which I think would be interesting is to tie this to specific policy choices. I’m not sure how top-rated charities affect population size, but if there’s a trade-off between quantity and quality that’s a useful thing to think about.
