A giving game is a way to get experience thinking critically about charities, comparing cost-effectiveness, pros/cons, etc. We’ll pick a few charities to evaluate, then we’ll vote on which is doing the most good, and allocate money towards that one. (It’s not as much about the money as the process; we’ll either each throw a dollar into the pool, or I’ll obtain funding from The Life You Can Save or somewhere else (working on that now)). We’ll be comparing environmental charities, not b/c those are necessarily the most effective, but just so that it’s easy to compare one to the other (instead of comparing across causes).
