Do we ever see donors be private equity funders in for-profit situations? I think the main challenge with equity partners (which seems to be the only way folks start businesses anymore but I could be wrong?) as you said is you immediately lose autonomy. Could donors instead say “here’s seed funding to start your mission-driven for-profit but you are still 100% stakeholder”?
