I understand “scapegoating” to be a specific sociological process, not just a generic term for blaming some one. I’m not sure if Thiel wants us to be scapegoated, but if it does happen it would look more like “mob violence” than “guy mentions offhand in a podcast that you’re the antichrist.”[1]

Does Thiel have some 12D chess plan to inspire mob violence against EAs? Seems unlikely, but who knows.
