I liked this post and personally think that local priorities research (LPR) seems like one of the most effective things EA groups can do.
I wish the article spent a lot more time discussing the concrete research projects people could undertake, in addition to the brief bullet point list provided in section 2. The article spends a lot of time discussing the pros and cons of LPR, but gives little guidance on how to actually do LPR. Perhaps I’ll give some more ideas and examples sometime if I have time.
