Prior to reading: It seems extremely weird to me that morality should be ‘objective’ in any meaningful sense. It seems pretty clear to me that morality is just the result of the strange set of heuristics for social life that evolution chucked us out with. It seems strange to say it is some ‘fact of the universe’ rather than just something we impose on it.
Also, even if it was some ‘truth’ in some sense, I don’t think anyone has given a convincing argument for how we can hope to learn more about that truth, so it’s vacuously untrue.
