A bit about who I am and my goals for the project: I am a PhD Candidate in Social Psychology at SUNY Albany. I primarily study the psychological underpinnings of expansive and effective forms of altruism (e.g., effective altruism, longtermism). I’m currently working on the present project in collaboration with labs at Georgetown University and Boston College. My primary goal in this research is to develop a better understanding of the cognitive, affective, and moral architecture of effective altruism to inform scalable interventions for cultivating attitudes and action in line with the movement.
