I don’t agree that the education system is as thoroughly broken as you say. For what it’s worth, I’ve enjoyed my time studying CS at Cornell, and I’m starting my graduate studies there soon. Your mileage may vary—some schools do education well, others not so much. But I do think the institutions you’re proposing can complement the existing education system by filling gaps in it.
