If the high level conclusion that Trump’s tariffs will increase the number of people living in extreme poverty (<$1.90 a day) by about 2 million I wonder how many EA orgs or individuals can claim accomplishments with greater impact than that.
This has got to be historically low post engagement if measured by: (individuals into/out of extreme poverty / post engagement) so (2M / 11) = that’s 181,818 more people in extreme poverty for each post engagement. I don’t have comparison numbers to other topics/cause areas currently, but initial intuition makes it seem very, very, very neglected.
