I supposed much of this exceptional grant had to do with DOGE/​Musk/​Trump slashing USAID budget and killing hundreds of the world poorest and not to do with anthropic or other AI related investment. Am I wrong?
Their announcement doesn’t mention that as a motivation, although it would indirectly factor into their assessment of the field’s ‘room for more funding’.
