Thank you for the enlightning article. I must admit, I just took a glimpse of 85 comments below, without noticing if there was brought up a different, truly humane option.
Humane AKA compassionate and kind option wouldn`t increase animal experimentation. It would simultaneously decrease the need of electrocution and suffocation of both shrimps and chickens.
I know for many EA members this option is hard to swallow, but imagining that we were now talking about kittens and puppies, might make this idea more digestable. What if we used resources to campaigns by which consumers would became fully aware, what they are paying for when they purchase these products, and then we`d offer them an option to choose animal-free food?
This is what ASAP (Allied Scholars for Animal Protection) now does. ASAP is a non-commercial organization founded by Faraz Harsini few years back. On the video he tells his story and the idea and mission of ASAP. I hope Give Well will take this organization into consideration soon.
