This event has been cancelled, as our speaker could not get to Hamburg in time (Deutsche Bahn :(). We’ll try to find another date within the next few months.

We’ll meet outside the Bucerius Law School at 7 pm (street entrance next to the bike rack) to have a social in the area instead.

EU-China Relations: Challenges and Opportunities

Building a sustainable EU-China relationship is crucial. Divergence and conflict would harm AI progress and global GDP. Current tensions are increasing, as the US focuses on confronting China. To find common ground, Europe needs a stronger voice and cooperation in technology, AI, and climate. However, anti-China sentiment, declining EU exports, and US pressure strain the relationship. EU firms invest in China, like BASF’s recent deal.
