In this part talk, part discussion, and part workshop, we’ll explore the different concrete ways to have an impact with our time and resources. This ranges from donations, to types of careers, ways of having impact right now, and ways to set ourselves up now to have more of an impact later in our lives. The hope is that this session will give you some concrete ideas of how you might go about doing a lot of good in the world with your time and resources in a way that fits into your life.
Speaker: Elliot Teperman, Head of Community at Effective Altruism Australia, where he supports the Australian EA community via a range of events, supporting local organisers, the EAGxAustralia conference, and other new projects. Most recently, he was a Program Manager at the Coller Foundation, working to reduce farm animal suffering. He has also researched the moral psychology of altruism and meat consumption at leading universities.
