I’ve generally supported CEA’s general approach of trying to strike a balance between taking into account their own judgment and respecting the diversity of opinion within the community.
However, as AI timelines are starting to look shorter, I’m starting to move more toward the opposite side that you’re on, where it’s starting to feel more like EA should be treating our progress toward AGI as an emergency rather than continuing with business as usual.
