EA Anywhere Discussion: Air Pollution (Asia/Oceania)

Air pollution is the fifth largest risk factor for mortality globally, causing the deaths of nearly 7 million people every year. It is especially acute in low and middle income countries, where over 90% of deaths occur. We invite you to discuss air pollution as a cause area and how to tackle it effectively.

We encourage you to read the Founders Pledge Cause Report in the preparation for the discussion. If you live in Asia, you might be interested to read the Open Philanthropy’s report on South Asian Air Quality instead.
