🎙️ Ronnie Lee | How Do We Achieve Animal Liberation?

Ronnie Lee has been a vegan and campaigner for animal liberation for 54 years. In the early 1970s he was one of the founders of the Animal Liberation Front and served three prison sentences (a total of about 9 years in prison) for animal liberation activism. Since his last release from prison in 1992, he has been involved in various animal protection campaigns and political activities. His main focus is now on vegan outreach and the creation of a network of local activist groups to spread the vegan message.

🎙️ Paolo Gemma | Plant-based Food and Recipes Creator

Paolo is a passionate Italian vegan living in Hong Kong. He specialises in fermentation and plant-based culinary innovation and has transitioned significant international expertise into the Food & Beverage industry as a Plant-Based Food Product Developer, Recipe Developer, Fermentation Expert and R&D Chef. His most recent achievement is the creation of new tempeh products for a vegan food factory—two of which were awarded at Vegetarian Food Asia 2026, an event showcasing over 7,000 global plant-based foods, exquisite lifestyle products, and wellness items, with more than 60,000 visitors.

🎙️ Martin Whybrow | Conversations Within the Movement: What Works, What Doesn’t, and Where Do We Go From Here?

Martin is both an activist and author. His most recent book, How Long Shall These Things Be?, gives readers an inside look at what has been working in the animal rights movement, what hasn’t, and where we go from here. Over 60 activists were interviewed for Martin’s research in writing this book.
