In thinking about the democratization—what role would real people impacted by the organization’s decisions play? This is probably mostly related to global health & development—but it seems very strange to democratize to “effective altruists” but not to mention involving the people actually impacted by an EA organization’s work. I don’t think “democratizing” per se will probably be the right way to involve them—but finding some way of gathering the insights and perspectives of people impacted by each organizaiton’s work would help with the expertise, epistemics, and power problems mentioned.
